Balenciaga and Spain

I think it's time to B line (B as in Balenciaga) over to the de Young Museum SF!

With over 100 pieces culled from museums and private collections around the world and curated by Vogue European Editor-at-Large Hamish Bowles, Balenciaga and Spain is sure to be a sweeping fashion/art tour de force.

Dubbed as "fashion's Picasso", Christobal Balenciaga (1895-1972) was a very innovative, highly celebrated designer the world over.

You might recognize a lot of his creations in some of these iconic photos by Irving Penn and Richard Avadon.

Can't make the exhibit running through July 4th? Check out the On-Demand version here or this beautiful book from Rizzoli.

Now, what to wear?
