Another seemingly simple, yet engaging craft idea/creative challenge that I wish I had thought of first.

It's one thing to amass collections, but quite another to have the skillful eye to group them in a way that makes the sum more appealing than the parts. Lisa Congdon, SF-based artist and illustrator, certainly has an eye.

I love her blog. On January 1, 2010 she embarked on a yearlong project to document one tiny collection per day and now that collection is available in book form.

I wasn't really looking for another hobby - I have two little boys, 2 blogs and a half dozen other things I'm chasing everyday. Suddenly combing through these images has me itching for the thrill of thrifting again.
