Love the prolific work of this graffiti artist turned darling of the NYC art scene circa 1980 and I love Julian Schnabel's movie Basquiat.

If you feel the same, you might want to cue up this documentary from Arthouse Films. The pace is slower, there are no big names or big budget tricks and at times it seems a bit bookish.

But like I said, if you're a fan it's definitely worth seeing - if only for a glimpse of the incredible body of work created by this amazing, enigmatic talent in a ridiculously short amount of time.
